Pleasant Hill is a great place to live if you enjoy nature and the outdoors- there are lots of beautiful hiking trails and open spaces to explore. This suburban city also features quality schools and parks- Pleasant Hill Park, near downtown, even has a Teen Center, Senior Center, and awesome pool complete with Splash Pad! As a welcoming community, Pleasant Hills enjoys caring for locals and planning its annual events and celebrations- like its epic 4th of July celebration, annual Art & Wine Festival, and epic Blues & Brews Festival!

Jack’s Restaurant and Bar is a local, family-owned restaurant with old-school hospitality and is a fun dining option for any meal. Zachary’s Chicago Pizza is an award-winning eatery that serves an array of pizza styles and toppings, including its name-sake deep-dish Chicago-style pizzas. 
Downtown Pleasant Hill is a vibrant and lively area with shopping, dining, and entertainment. There is also an updated theater complex with large viewing screens and self-service ticketing. 
The Poet’s Corner neighborhood is a quaint and charming area of Pleasant Hill with more awesome dining options like the infamous Wise Girl Restaurant & Bar with its dynamic cocktail lounge & Italian eatery for classic dishes served in Prohibition Era–inspired digs, Rooted Coffee Co., Slow Hand BBQ, and more.

Things to Do

The Blues & Brews Festival is an annual event with a kids zone, live music, vendors, and local food and drinks. Off the Grid Food Trucks is a weekly evening gathering of local and regional food trucks for residents to gather with neighbors. The Sunset by the Lake Summer Concerts is a biweekly event around City Hall for live music, dancing, and community development. 
Art, Wine, & Music Festival is a yearly event in downtown Pleasant Hills with an art show, local vendors, live music, and local cuisine. Light up the Lake is an annual community event focused on celebrating the town's growth with performances, music, and lanterns.
