Diablo Foods is a popular specialty grocery store owned by a local family for generations selling fresh produce, meats, and prepared meals. Hollie’s Homegrown started as a small organic farm that offered culinary and medicinal herbs and grew into an artisanal retail space with one-of-a-kind items and local vendors. Some other well-known stores and shops include Luck Lafayette, Bel and Bunna’s Books, and Amphora Nueva, which sells fresh olive oils and vinegar.
Things to Do
Lafayette Reservoir is a favorite of the community with many outdoor activities, such as hiking and walking trails, fishing, boating, canoeing, and more. The reservoir also has launch docks and a bait shop. The Lafayette Community Center has group classes, special events, and a native plant garden with beautiful annuals and perennials.
The Lafayette Art & Wine Festival is an annual event that features vendors, local food and drink, and live music from four concert stages. The community has a weekly Farmers Market with local vendors and fresh produce from May through August.

The Lafayette School district is a public education system that provides a comprehensive academic curriculum for kindergarten through middle school students. The district strives to create problem-solving students prepared to become responsible community members. Lafayette also has many high-quality private schools for K-12 students.
